VL-GC003A has an attractive contemporary design that works well with a wide range of residential and commercial architecture. There are three faceplates to choose from: "brass" (bright and beautiful), "oil rubbed bronze" (dull dark brown), or "silver" (like bright chrome).
It's designed to be recess-mounted and you can install it in a three-gang electrical box (mounted vertically as shown at left, available at electrical supply houses and home centers). We tested it with a variety of metal and plastic boxes, both "old work" and "new work," and it fitted fine in all of them.
If permitted by your local building code, you can just put it into a wall cut-out, measuring about 2-7/8" wide by 5-1/2" high. We recommend using a box -- you'll get a neat and strong installation and won't have screw holes near the edge of the cut-out. Mounting holes are elongated to permit vertical mounting even if the box or cut-out is not vertical
The camera can be manually adjusted horizontally and vertically with a rear-mounted lever.
